Netcare 911 observes International Childhood Cancer Day

CAPE TOWN HANDOVER

As a way of showing solidarity for children suffering from Cancer, Netcare911 staff took time off their busy schedule’s to spend time with children suffering from Cancer.

Our various bases across the country visited paediatric wards where they donated Doctor’s play set kits to the children. In the Western Cape, paramedics visited the Red Cross Children’s hospital.

During the visit, Netcare911 staff handed over Doctor’s play set kits to a foundation that handles donations for the hospital called , “Friends of the Children’s Association” .

The Netcare911 staff were treated to a historic talk about the hospital and foundation as well as a tour of the hospital. The paramedics also visited on one of the wards and had the opportunity to personally hand over the gifts to the children.

Although this evoked a fair amount of emotion amongst the staff, it was an absolute privilege for them to spend time with the brave little souls in a bid to brighten up their day. In Johannesburg, the paramedics visited the paediatric ward at the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.

They handed over the Doctor’s play set kits and taught the children on how the various medical tools operate.
