Truck driver escapes with moderate injuries after reversing into hole at construction site
This morning EMER-G-MED’s M04 and A09 responded to reports of a motor-vehicle collision on the corners of 1st Avenue and High Avenue, Kempton Park.
On arrival paramedics found that a truck, which had been working at a construction site, was reversing backwards – when the ground caved in causing the truck to roll into the hole.
The cabin of the truck was completely crushed, fortunately the driver managed to escape with moderate injuries.
EMER-G-MED’s A09 transported the patient to a nearby hospital for furtger care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate.
