Two injured in collision between truck and a vehicle on the N4 in Bronkhorstpruit direction

The Netcare1 helicopter has airlifted a critically injured man from the N4  to a Johannesburg hospital for further medical care.

This follows a collision involving  a truck and a vehicle on the N4 in Bronkhorstpruit direction, Witbank.

When Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene, they found that the truck driver had sustained minor injuries while the driver of the light motor vehicle was still trapped in his vehicle.

The Bronkhorstpruit Fire department had to be called in to assist to free the trapped man from the wreckage.

After freeing him, he was stabilised on scene and thereafter airlifted to a  hospital where he is receiving further medical care.

This accident happened this afternoon at about 13:30.
