Theft suspect arrested at Glenhills, Durban North

‘Shortly after 14:30 on Sunday, Marshall Security were alerted to the theft of a water meter from a residential complex on Rinaldo Road in Glenhills, north of Durban.

Neighbors saw a man wearing a blue football shirt fleeing down the road towards the informal settlements and alerted the local neighborhood watch. Patrols were done in the area however the suspect was no where to be found.

A description of the suspect was distributed and a joint effort between Marshall Security and the Glenhills Community Policing Forum, saw the suspect apprehended in Wistaria Grove, shortly after 3pm.

The man was found with the water meter still in his possession. The suspect was apprehended by Marshall Security Armed Reaction Officers and handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.
