Man stabbed to death during business robbery on Columbine Road in Glen Anil

Shortly after 8:30pm on Thursday, Marshall Security were called for assistance at a business robbery on Columbine Road in Glen Anil, north of Durban.

On arrival on scene it was discovered that a white male, believed to be in his late forties had sustained multiple stab wounds. A call for the assistance of Netcare 911 emergency care practitioners was made by our emergency contact centre, however the man had sadly succumbed to his fatal injuries and was declared deceased on arrival of paramedics.

It is believed the man was confronted by four armed men attempting to rob the business premises, who stabbed the gentleman multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.

It is unknown at this stage what was stolen. The suspects remain at large.

The scene has been handed over to the Greenwood Park South African Police Services for further investigation.
