Housebreaking at home in La Lucia

Marshall Security were alerted to a house breaking that had occurred at a home in Lady Ellen Crescent in La Lucia, north of Durban, shortly after 14:00 on Tuesday.

Armed Reaction officers were dispatched to the scene and on further investigation it was ascertained that 3 suspects forced open the drive way gate to the premesis, and entered the home.

The domestic worker who was in the house at the time, was confined to a room while the men ransacked the home, making off with electronic equipment before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation.

The domestic worker was left severely traumatised in the ordeal and the assistance of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team was called for by the Marshall Security emergency contact centre.
