House robbery by 5 armed men at Somerset Park, north of Durban

Five armed men stormed a home in Cheddar Close in Somerset Park, north of Durban, shortly after 10:00 on Wednesday.

Marshall Security armed reaction officers responded to the scene and on further investigation it was ascertained that five armed men arrived in a high end luxury motor vehicle, forcing entry onto the property, where they held up the domestic worker, ransacking the home, making off with various electronic equipment and flat screen televisions, before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The domestic worker was left traumatised in the ordeal and the assistance of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team was sought to counsel her.

The scene was later handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing, the suspects remain at large.
