Two injured in apparent robbery at business complex in Witbank

Two men were left injured this afternoon after and apparent robbery at a business complex on Mandela Street in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

ER24 paramedics, along with local authorities, arrived on the scene and found the two men, both in their 30s, seated next to their vehicles.

On assessment, paramedics discovered that one man had sustained moderate injuries after he was apparently assaulted with a pistol. The second man had sustained a large laceration on his head after sustaining a gunshot wound. Fortunately, the bullet did not penetrate the man’s skull and merely glanced off.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Witbank Hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the men had apparently returned from the bank when they were held up at the complex.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
