Attempted housebreaking in the suburb of Prestondale, north of Durban
At approximately 19H00 Marshall Security were alerted to an attempted house breaking in progress in Pioneer Close in the suburb of Prestondale, north of Durban. A neighbor noticed two men jump the wall to the property and alerted the Marshall Security Emergency Contact Center, who immediately dispatched armed reaction units.
On arrival it was ascertained that two men jumped the fence to the home and attempted to force entry by breaking the front door open. The homeowners who were having dinner at the time, screamed for help, scaring the suspects off, fleeing in an unknown direction.
An extensive search of the property and surrounding areas was conducted, however the suspects remain at large.
