Stephane Rutili appointed Euler Hermes South Africa Country Manager

JOHANNESBURG – MAY 30, 2017 – Euler Hermes, the worldwide leader in trade credit insurance, has appointed Stephane Rutili as Country Manager for South Africa. He will report to Luca Burrafato, Euler Hermes Head of Mediterranean Countries, Middle East and Africa (MMEA).  Based in Johannesburg, Euler Hermes operations include a reinsurance agreement with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) South Africa Limited which began in 2013.

Rutili joins Euler Hermes South Africa with more than 25 years trade credit risk experience, having held several executive positions with the group. He joined Euler Hermes in 1989 and held several management positions in the Euler Hermes France Information Department.  In 2001 he was promoted to CEO of Euler Hermes Morocco and, in 2007, became CEO of Euler Hermes Greece. Before his new appointment, he was Head of Collections agencies for Euler Hermes France since 2013.

“Our presence in South Africa represents a strategic step for Euler Hermes in Africa and we believe that it will offer many business opportunities to strengthen our position and growth in the coming years. Stephane’s new role will contribute to the development and enhancement of Euler Hermes trade credit insurance business in the country,” said Luca Burrafato.

Euler Hermes South Africa is part of Euler Hermes MMEA region which currently employs over 600 people and covers 14 countries.
