House Robbery in Doreen Crescent in the Glen Ashley area

Marshall Security responded to the scene of a House Robbery which had occurred in Doreen Crescent in the Glen Ashley area, just before 2am on Friday.

Reports from the scene indicate that three armed suspects gained entry to the premises, by derailing a driveway gate, before forcing entry through a glass door. The armed men confronted the homeowners, tying them up and confining them to a bedroom, before ransacking the home and fleeing in the homeowners’ Ford Ranger motor vehicle.

The vehicle taken was fitted with a satellite tracking device, monitored by BidTrack and a signal was reported in the Amaoti area, north of Durban, where it was later recovered abandoned off a dirt road by recovery agents and the Marshall Security Special Operations Team.

No injuries were sustained in the incident, however the victims were left severly traumatized and the assistance of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team was sought to counsel them.

The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
