Victims traumatized after house robbery by 6 armed men in the suburb of Parkhill, north of Durban.

At approximately 14:00 Marshall Security responded to a house robbery which had occurred in Clarendon Road, in the suburb of Parkhill, north of Durban.

Reports from the scene indicate that whilst the homeowners three kids were at home with the domestic worker, six armed men forced entry into the home, by prying open a security gate with a crowbar, before storming the home and assaulting an eleven year old boy.

The children and domestic worker were confined to a room whilst the armed suspects ransacked the home, making off with electronic equipment and two cellphones, before fleeing in an awaiting getaway vehicle, in an unknown direction.

The victims were left severely traumatized in the ordeal and the assistance of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team was sought to counsel them.

The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
