The second of four highly acclaimed SMME Opportunity Roadshows in South Africa will be taking place from 08:00 to 17:00 at Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) on Tuesday, 26 July 2016.
The SMME Opportunity Roadshow is an engaging networking and educational Roadshow for small businesses in South Africa. Following its hugely successful kick-off event in Johannesburg during May 2016, Durban will be the second city to host the annual SMME Opportunity Roadshow.
Besides being one of South Africa’s favoured tourist destinations, Durban also plays a pivotal role in the importing and exporting of goods through the Durban Harbour – the largest and busiest shipping port on the African continent. The SMME Opportunity Roadshow will not only showcase opportunities but also provide focused guidance for SMMEs to mainstream their competitive advantage as effectively as possible.
Invited speakers will include: Programme Director for the day, Lynette Ntuli, Chief Executive Officer Innate Investment Solutions; young and charismatic Xolani Gumede, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cappeny Estate; Vice President of Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Claudette Sigamoney; and Tshidi Mahlangu, Manager of the SMME Business Sector at South African Airways (SAA).
Participating SMMEs will be empowered through master classes in:
- The Fundamentals of Sustaining & Growing SMMEs
- Enabling Funding for SMMEs; and
- Scaling up SMMEs: The Future Growth Drivers of the SA Economy.
