Integrat Mobile Greens Disadvantaged Communities

It’s time. It’s time that the mobile industry- perfectly poised to make a difference as one of the only 100% ‘green’ marketing mediums on offer to marketers- gave back to the communities and to the environments that make its transactions possible. The business of mobile is a thriving, profitable industry, and it is from this premise that Integrat Mobile, the products, customization, mobile strategy and marketing arm of aggregation stalwart, Integrat PTY (Ltd), launches itself as a standalone in the market.

As of 1 March 2013, the business has branched out from its mother brand – and is embracing the greening of disadvantaged South African schools on behalf of corporates, agencies and other mobile operators.

To kick off- and as a symbol of operating in a paperless, environmentally-friendly industry where consumers cross the location, racial and wealth divide- the company has donated 50x 2m tall trees to plant at the Sinqobile Primary School in Soshanguve. The planting will take place on Monday 18 March 2013, from 12:00- and along with a promise of shade for barren playgrounds, the kids will be taught about the importance of trees, how to care for them, and will be asked to pledge their allegiance to a greener SA.

The awesome initiative comes from the heart of Integrat Mobile. With roots in Centurion, Gauteng as well as Stellenbosch, Cape Town, it is known to be an innovator in its field. Home to an array of mobile products, solutions and ideas- the company wishes to encourage ‘Green Connections’ …Says CEO, Riaan Nel: “Mobile transactions are paperless, convenient, creative and have a low to no impact on the environment around us. We didn’t want to launch as just another mobile solutions provider, we want to be that- on steroids- but mostly, we want to be the catalyst that affects change where it is needed most.

We’re saying ‘Join us in making Green Connections’- and let’s use the Rands we earn from mobile, to pump a portion into real, sustainable investments which celebrate the very core of our medium.

We’re kicking off the ‘Green Connections’ campaign by donating 50 trees, but we want to challenge other mobile operators, ad agencies and marketers to if not match, then exceed our donation. Let the greening begin!”

Integrat Mobile not only plans to plant the first 50 trees, but also to start a ‘tree bank’ whereby they will be donating a tree for every milestone reached- and arranging further plantings every time the live tree counter reaches the magic number 50.

This means that Integrat will donate a tree for every:
– 200 000 SMSes ordered
– 10 000+ MMSes ordered
– 20 000 DigiBox campaigns facilitated
– 5 000 DigiPay campaigns facilitated
– 10 000 Airtime games transactions achieved
– 10 trees for every promotional campaign booked
– AND, for every 500 ‘Green Connections’ Facebook Fans and Twitter followers, Integrat Mobile will donate yet another tree

Integrat Mobile is in this for the sustainability thereof- and as such, has partnered up with Willow Feather Farms in Irene, Centurion to plant and maintain all trees donated by the Green Connections campaign.

Interested companies can get involved in two ways:
– By donating a tree (or trees) to the Integrat Mobile “Tree Bank”
– Or by ordering Integrat Mobile products or services, as above, after which Integrat Mobile will add the tree to the live tree counter which can be viewed on Facebook or the website.
