Cell Phone Shop Manager and two staff members behind bars after forged business robbery

Mamelodi East – A cell shop manager and two staff members were arrested in Mahube Mall yesterday for possession of cell phones alleged to have been taken during a forged business robbery. The suspects, who yesterday told the Police that they were robbed, thought they could easily get away with it in broad daylight but it wasn’t to be.

Police went to the mall swiftly after claims that the staff members at a cell phone shop were robbed of cell phones and cash at gun point. Through investigation police discovered six cell phones alleged to have been robbed from inside their hand bags in the cabinet.

Suspects aged between 27 and 38 were detained. They will appear in Mamelodi court tomorrow 15 May 2014 for charges of possession of suspected stolen cell phones.
