2 Injured in truck accident just after the M1 Higginson Highway

Two people have been injured after the truck they were in overturned on the N2 South just after the M1 Higginson Highway just after 08:45 this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the single vehicle a truck had overturned obstructing three lanes of the busy freeway. Both the driver and passenger had sustained moderate injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being transported by Rescue Care to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

AT this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to overturn however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
