North West: Yesterday, 01 June 2016, the police in Itsoseng with the assistance of Itsoseng Community Police Forum (CPF) arrested four men in connection with possession of stolen livestock.

The arrest of the suspects, aged between 15 and 31 years, came after police received a tip-off from community members about people who were seen in possession of the cows. Police and CPF members swiftly responded, conducted a search and found the suspects in possession of six cattle worth R72 000-00 in Bodibe Village near Itsoseng.

Further investigation revealed that the cattle were stolen in Lichtenburg where a case of stock theft was opened. The suspects are expected to appear in the Ditsobotla Magistrates’ Court today, 2 June 2016.
