Drugs estimated to be worth R261 000 confiscated in Paarl

WESTERN CAPE – Our quest to eradicate the illegal substances and drug trade in the Western Cape continues to be a success when vigilant members attached to Boland K9 unit arrested a 24-year-old suspect who was found in possession of illegal substances and dealing in drugs. The observant members swiftly responded to information received about premises in Paarl where drugs and illegal substances are kept.

A total of 1 897 Mandrax tablets including 2,1kg of tik both estimated to be R261 000-00 and an undisclosed amount of cash was confiscated.

The suspect is expected to make a court appearance soon in the Paarl Magistrate Court for possession of illegal substances and dealing in drugs.
