Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Phoenix, KZN
A Ford Fiesta that was fitted with registration plates from a stolen vehicle was recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) who were on patrol on Phoenix Highway in the vicinity of Gandhi Memorial Park in Phoenix at approximately 04:06 this morning (Sunday).
Reaction Officers stopped to investigate when they noticed the vehicle abandoned on the side of the road. A registration check confirmed that the number of plates belonged to a green Mazda 323 that was sought on a case registered at the Brighton Beach SAPS in February 2006.
Police were called to the scene and the vehicle was handed over for further investigation.
