Flying Squad members arrest six suspects for possession of stolen truck tyres
On Friday, 17 March 2023, Kimberley Flying Squad Police members arrested six men along Bultfontein Road.
The members received information about suspects allegedly involved in stealing truck tyres between Modderrivier and Belmont.
The information was followed up and two vehicles, a white Toyota Corolla and a white Toyota Quantum were stopped at approximately 03:40. Inside the Quantum, the members found 10 Michelin tyres with rims, and one energizer tyre all valued at approximately R120 000-00.
A total of six male suspects aged between 35 and 43 were arrested and charged for possession of suspected stolen property.
Both vehicles were confiscated as it was used in the commission of crime.
The suspects will soon appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court.
