Army members receive support after fire at the Military Academy in Saldanha, Western Cape

A fire broke out at the Military Academy in Saldanha, Western Cape. The SA Army Foundation has reached out to the SA Army members, who lost their personal belongings following this devastating fire breakout at the Academy on Saturday 12 August 2023. Students who were affected by the fire lost all their personal belongings and study material including their laptops.

SA Army Foundation in their assiduous efforts of benevolence once again donated laptops, laptop bags, printers and Universal Serial Bus (USB) “memory sticks”. Brigadier General Cassie de Castro, the Commandant from the SA Military Academy, welcomed Mrs Rosa Barros, from the SA Army Foundation. He said that he cannot express enough appreciation and acknowledgement for the manner the SA Army Foundation supports its members and thanked Mrs Rosa Barros on behalf of the General Manager of SA Army Foundation, Mr Angel Ramphele, who proudly presented the affected members with the above-mentioned products to assist them with their studies after losing these learning materials to the fire.
