Shots fired during a business robbery in Canelands

Two shots were fired during a business robbery on Station Road in Canelands – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene.

It was established that three armed men approached the store and fired two shots.

They held up a Somalian national and his employees before stealing diapers, a TV and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects thereafter sped off in a white VW Polo with an ND registration.

Two spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.

No injuries were reported.
