For IRONMAN South Africa’s 20th anniversary, this year, IRONMAN4theKidz aims to raise R5 million to support various child-focused initiatives across South Africa.
“As the ISUZU Foundation, we are proud to continue our partnership with IRONMAN4theKidz which aims to support and create opportunities for children in need. Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to make a tangible difference in the communities in which our Dealers operate,” said Alastair Hodgson, Department Executive: Business Enablement at Isuzu Motors South Africa. “Our involvement in the past IRONMAN Triathlon series has demonstrated our long-standing commitment to this sport and the communities it benefits.”
The funds raised through IRONMAN4theKidz will be allocated towards crucial areas such as refurbishment of the charity homes, transportation fees, nutritional support, sports activities, medical expenses, and, where feasible, capital projects. This support ensures that the registered NPOs continue their vital work in providing essential services and opportunities for children facing various challenges.
Since its inception in 2005, IRONMAN4theKidz has supported over 22 children’s charities in Gqeberha, Durban, Mossel Bay, Bela Bela, and Germiston.
To amplify this effort, ISUZU has called on its corporate partners, Borbet, and Shatterprufe to join the ISUZU IRONMAN Corporate Triathlon Challenge. This event is not just about competition but also about demonstrating teamwork, resilience, and a shared commitment to social good. Along with our business partners, ISUZU employees will also take on the challenge, reflecting the brand’s ethos of being bold, perseverance and community engagement.
