Theft Suspect Apprehended by Vigilant Mi7 Reaction Officers in Chase Valley

Over the weekend, while conducting regular patrols in the Chase Valley area, Mi7 Reaction Officers noticed a man walking on the roadside, carrying several items wrapped in a black refuse bag.

When the man saw Mi7 Reaction Officers driving by, he began acting suspiciously, turning direction and hiding his face. Reaction Officers stopped to approach him.

He was found in possession of a remote control device and several aluminium frames, and claimed that the items were given to him by a resident on Carnoustie Road. The resident, who is a client of another security service provider, was visited. He confirmed that the items were in fact stolen from his property. It was further established that the stolen remote had been used to gain access through the main gate.

The suspect was immediately detained and the matter handed over to the police for further investigation.
