Stolen vehicle recovered in KwaMashu

A white VW Polo that was stolen from Ilala Avenue in Springfield Park was recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on Emoyeni Road in E-Section, KwaMashu.

Reaction Officers who were on patrol in Phoenix, KZN were informed by Tracker of the theft and activation of the tracking device. RUSA Members picked up the signal and proceeded to KwaMashu where the VW Polo was recovered abandoned on the roadside. The key was in the ignition and the registration plates were changed.

On investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle’s computer box had been changed which enable the suspect to start the car with their own key. The original number plates were recovered in the boot.

The vehicle was handed over to Police for further investigation.
