Vehicle Fire On Central Park Drive

At approximately 18h07 on Monday evening, KZN VIP Control Centre received an alert via social media regarding a minibus taxi reportedly on fire along Central Park/Palmview Drive.

KZN VIP immediately dispatched all available response officers to the location. Medical and rescue teams were also deployed to ensure the safety of any occupants and to manage the scene.

Upon arrival, KZN VIP officers made contact with the vehicle driver, who reported that the fire began shortly after turning onto Central Park. The driver noted the vehicle had suddenly lost power and, upon investigation, discovered it had caught alight.

Thanks to the swift actions of community members on scene, the fire was extinguished before emergency services arrived. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the four (4) occupants of the vehicle.
