Truck crash on the N3 North after London Road forces freeway closure

EMER-G-MED’s RV3, RV4, M07, M06, A03 and A09 are on the scene of a serious truck crash on the N3 North after London Road, north of Johannesburg.

It’s alleged that the truck, which was carrying a full cargo of bricks lost control and overturned, colliding with two other vehicles and crushing a bakkie against the barrier.

Multiple people have been injured, with one person being heavily entrapped within the wreckage of the crushed bakkie. Paramedics and rescue personal are working effortlessly to free him, while the City of Johannesburg specialist heavy rescue team have been called to the scene.

The highway is COMPLETLY closed and Will be for some time.
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes.

A full update will follow once the scene has been cleared.
