Taxi and truck collide injuring 14, Pinetown

14 People were injured this morning following a collision between a taxi and truck on Richmond Road in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on scene and found the taxi in the middle of the road. The truck had parked on the side of the road some distance away.

On inspection, paramedics found that 14 people had sustained only minor injuries in the collision.

Paramedics treated the patients and transported them to0 various hospitals including St Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.

It is believed that the driver of the taxi had failed to notice the truck turning onto the main road.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
