Four patients airlifted after fatal hiking incident on Table Mountain
Four patients were airlifted by the Western Cape Department of a Health EMS/AMS rescue helicopter from Woody Buttress on Table Mountain yesterday (13 May 2018). It was reported that a party of four was hiking when a large boulder dislodged, sadly leaving one patient deceased and one injured.
The injured patient was taken to hospital by the local road ambulance. Rescue crew: Captain Donovan Kohl, external load operator Jonathan Groenewald, members of WSAR and METRO rescue.
