You can assist with the future direction of road ecology research!

Road ecology is the interaction between roads, traffic and ecology.  Research on the impacts of roads and the use and effectiveness of mitigation measures is used to inform the design, location and management of roads.

A questionnaire (follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/B7YY656) has been designed to inform an important discussion about the future direction of road ecology research.  This discussion will take place at a workshop at the International Conference on Ecology and Transportation (ICOET) to be held in Arizona in late June 2013.

If you are involved in any aspect of road ecology (ranging from planning, design, construction, management, research, advocacy, etc) then you are invited to complete the survey.

The survey is being conducted now, and is open to everyone around the world, to ensure that the input into the discussion at ICOET reflects the global perspective, not just from those attending ICOET.  The survey is voluntary, anonymous and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

The direction of road ecology research is currently being debated by road agencies around the globe.  Please participate in this survey and forward this invitation to friends and colleagues to ensure all opinions can be heard.

Many thanks!

Regards,

Rodney van der Ree (Australia), Paul Wagner (USA) and Lars Nilsson (Sweden)
