Suspect arrested and stolen items recovered after house robbery in Claremont

Western Cape police arrested a 44-year-old man for house robbery which occurred in Claremont on Saturday ,17 January 2015, where a couple was tied and robbed of personal belongings including cellphones and jewellery.

An intelligence driven operation was launched and one suspect was identified and later arrested at his residence at Woodstock . Various items which included watches, ipods, sunglasses and expensive clothing were recovered. The suspect appeared at Wynberg Regional Court on Wednesday the 28th January 2015 and was remanded in custody.
