A popular restaurant fell victim to a house breaking

A popular restaurant fell victim to a house breaking on Sunday morning at approximately 04:30.

Forced entry was gained through upper-level bathroom windows.
It appears that the suspect scaled the wall using the storm water down pipes and then a rope was used to lower a bucket filled with alcohol stolen from the business premises.

A Marshall Security North Coast Armed Reaction officer was standing off in a nearby business complex when he heard the noise. On his arrival and further investigation, the suspect ran off into nearby dense bushes. A search was conducted, however, the suspect remains at large.

Numerous bottles of alcohol recovered on scene.

The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
