Robbery suspects escape in chase leaving behind weapon and ammunition etc

On Monday, 21 November 2016 at about 14:10, members from Cleveland SAPS were patrolling along Cyril Street in Cyrildene when they spotted a suspicious vehicle with two suspects. Members attempted to stop the vehicle when the suspects sped off and a chase ensued. The suspects threw out a sports bag from the window and fled the scene.

One AK47 with 60 rounds of ammunition, 9mm pistol with 10 rounds of ammunition, two balaclavas and two pairs of gloves were found inside the bag. Police investigations are continuing.
