Giant water fountains to grace the Rand Show Lake

At the Rand Show 2017, even the lake is being turned into a show-stopping attraction, as part of SA’s biggest consumer expo’s promise to be a great day out for the whole family.

The Rand Show Lake is being transformed into a musical water fountain extravaganza, as LaserX sets up the biggest mobile water fountain installation in the country.

LaserX, SA’s leading laser and water show provider, is partnering with the Rand Show to create a unique choreographed musical fountain to celebrate the launch of the inaugural Johannesburg Design Week.

A first for Gauteng, Johannesburg Design Week launches this year at the Rand Show, bringing curated design displays and a full programme of conferences and workshops to Rand Show visitors.

The new watery centrepiece of the Rand Show will boast 30 high-pressure fountains that will shoot water 20 metres into the air against a backdrop of musical favourites.

The fountains will perform their beautiful water ballet hourly at the Rand Show 2017, from 14-23 April, delighting visitors as they make their way between the various family-friendly attractions on offer at the showgrounds.

South Africa’s biggest consumer expo is the only show to offer entertainment that covers everything from sport, motoring, military, and science and technology, to design, animals, gardening, health and beauty, and variety shows … there’s an entire day out for the whole family packed into each Rand Show ticket.
