Clive James, the inventor of C200 lock, holds a National Technical Certificate obtained through the Republic of South Africa Department of Higher Education and has over 40 years’ experience within the general engineering industry in South Africa. Clive is the inventor of the C200 lock and patented his design and mechanisms that make up the foundations of the business! Innovation and passion are the driving force behind the founding father of the company.
Quality Assurance
The C200 and resulting patented locking solution was intentionally designed to provide added security to valuable containerized cargo. CSS only uses suppliers of materials and assembly parts that are of ISO standards – thus ensuring the highest quality in the development, production and delivery of our products.
In House Testing and Production Control
Container Security Systems has built a production facility with Skye Engineering to enable 100% control of concept design, fabrication, production lines, delivery and customer service. Before manufacturing begins, materials are checked for any defects or flaws. During manufacture, CSS has a quality control process that ensures that procedures are followed and maintained. Being a small team of specialists allows for control and perfection.
Upon completion, random units are drop tested or hammer tested to check for any manufacturing defects or strength defaults. Each lock is hand checked for operation and approved before dispatching
Product Assurance
The products are used in various sectors, mostly freight and construction. Since 2010 CSS products remain the preferred choice for a number of companies working with shipping containers in the freight or construction industries.
Product Repairs
To our knowledge, CSS is the only company to offer a solution for repairs on for faulty or broken locks of theirs (where repairable). A service that makes CSS unique.
