House robbery suspects arrested, Tshwane
The Tshwane Metropolitan Police officers jointly with SAPS arrested 3 suspects on Tuesday 16 May 2017 for house robbery. TMPD officers received a call to be on the look out of a VW Polo vehicle which was taken from a house robbery at Kwamhlanga. The vehicle was spotted at Eesterust and a chase ensued. The suspects started shooting at the officers in Steve Biko Street, they then drove into another vehicle at wonderboom. The 5 suspects then jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Both SAPS and Metro Police officers managed to apprehend 3 suspects.
Two firearms were recovered from the suspects and stolen goods from the house robbery were also recovered from the vehicle. The suspects were charged with house robbery, possession of stolen property and illegal firearms and will appear in
Court soon.
On a separate operation, TMPD officers arrested 10 suspect on Tuesday 16 May 2017 for dealing and possession of drugs in Pretoria North, CBD, and Marabastad. Suspects were found in possession of heroin and dagga.
The Tshwane Metro Police department commend officers for their hard work and a job well done. TMPD will continue to work very hard in combating crime in the City of Tshwane and will continue to work jointly with other community safety Departments to keep citizens safe.
