Mango Airlines in partnership with Kimberley Clark and BidAir Cargo give generously to the community of Knysna

When the raging fires caused abrupt damage to Knysna on  South  Africa’s picturesque Garden Route on the 6th June 2017, scores of people not only lost their homes but for some, their lives too. The death toll kept rising with every news bulletin as the most excruciating scene played out in this community.

As with the many good samaritans from from far and wide who have reached out to those affected, Mango Airlines in partnership with Kimberly-Clark and BidAir Cargo have graciously continued to lend a helping hand.  This community has carved a sincere spot in the hearts of those involved in this partnership. Following the generous handover that took place on the 28 June 2017 at the Missionvale Care Centre in Port Elizabeth, Mango Airlines has yet again partnered with Kimberley-Clark and BidAir Cargo to form a formidable team and offer a generous donation on Mandela Day, 18July 2017.

This time around the handover took place at the Brenton Community Hall in Knysna.

The Knysna community is eternally greatful for the love and support from this team and the different companies represented.

Seen here are representatives from Mango Airlines Zoliswa Mketo (Mango Airlines, PE), and Rashequa Gabriels, Mango Airlines, PE), who worked tirelessly to ensure that this day was a success. Standing by the wise words of Steve Maraboli, “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.”
Community members took the time to sort out the clothing items according to the different sizes for those who would be arriving to receive the donated goods.
The team appreciated the presence of Eben Davids (BidAirCargo, George) and Johan Kilian (Mango Airlines, PE) who were so helpful and appreciated the opportunity to be a part of making this donation happen.
