Allianz Africa appoints Chief Underwriting and Reinsurance Officer
Allianz Africa Financial Services, Allianz Group’s Regional Company on the continent, has appointed Arthur Yao as Chief Underwriting and Reinsurance Officer effective September 1, 2018. An Ivorian, Mr Yao, will drive and direct underwriting and reinsurance strategies across all lines of business in the region and will be based in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire. He will report to Delphine Maïdou, Chief Operations Officer (COO), Allianz Africa, and Olaf Novak, Managing Director Reinsurance, Allianz Re.
Mr Yao has over 14 years of insurance and reinsurance experience gained in Europe and Africa across a variety technical and leadership roles. His educational qualifications include amongst others actuarial insurance and business administration from the National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro in Ivory Coast.
