Engine block stolen from a used spares business premises recovered

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa recovered an engine block stolen from a used spares business premises in Phoenix this (Sunday) morning.

Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a suspect on the premises. Upon arrival, the suspect was seen fleeing into a nearby bush. Officers chased on foot and were attacked by a suspect armed with a broken bottle. A Reaction Officer was forced to shoot him with rubber bullets during the attack. He then fled into a canal before back-up arrived.
