Stolen vehicle recovered in Oakford

A VW Polo that was stolen from Malvern – Queensburgh last year was recovered in Oakford – Verulam.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the area by a neighborhood watch group who recovered the vehicle while on patrol in the area. Upon arrival the vehicle was parked on a property belonging to an elderly man.

He explained that two weeks ago the vehicle was parked on his property by a couple. In the two weeks the battery and other spare parts were removed from the vehicle. A check was conducted on the Vehicle Identification Number which confirmed that the VW Polo was stolen from Malvern last year.

The vehicle was handed over to the Verulam SAPS for further investigation.
