CIT vehicle and bakkie collide in fatal crash 3km out of Smithfield towards Reddersburg
At around 15:30 there was an SBV money truck that collided with a Toyota bakkie head-on about 3km out of Smithfield towards Reddersburg.
Two (2) patients, unfortunately, passed away at the scene and the jaws of life were used to extricate them. One (1) patient was transported by Aeromedical ems helicopter to Pelonomi. Another patient was transported by ground ambulance to Pelonomi. MEC for Health, Miss Montseng Tsiu has sent her condolences to all families affected by accidents in the Free State.
