Opel Combo Life is ‘Best Buy Car of Europe 2019’

And now we have the Award-Winning Combo Life people mover arriving in South Africa during the third quarter of 2019!

According to the jury, no rival vehicle offers as much car for the money. Opel CEO, Michael Lohscheller, commented at the prize-giving held in Brussels that “Customers and media alike are impressed by the Combo Life. The Combo Life therefore plays a key role in our on-going product offensive, which will continue this year and next. This is underlined by the title ‘Best Buy Car of Europe’”.
Unitrans Opel Distributor will be introducing the Combo Life 5-seater people mover option into the South African market, uniting the comfort and dynamics of a passenger car with the spaciousness and variability of a typical Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV). The 60/40 split back seats enable loading of up to 690 kg when flattened forward with sliding doors on both sides – access for your family or to goods couldn’t be easier.
The state-of-the-art 1.6 turbo diesel engine returns a combined fuel consumption of 5 L/100 km – an important consideration for the driving task the Combo Life is built to satisfy. Low-speed torque allows for better and more efficient overtaking, towing and gear choice as offered by the car-derived running gear with readily available 230 Nm of Torque and 68 kW of Power. The easy opening tailgate and upward opening rear window section plus towing capacity of 1 100 kg braked / 720 kg unbraked allows for easy packing and considerable versatility.

As ‘Best Buy Car of Europe 2019’ the Combo Life continues a strong Opel tradition. In recent years the Rüsselsheim-based carmaker was twice successful in the AUTOBEST Award. The Opel Corsa took the title outright in 2007 and 2015. AUTOBEST presents the ‘Best Buy Car of Europe’ since 2000.
