Minister of Police to address SONA deployment parade

Police Minister General Bheki Cele, the National Commissioner of Police, General Khehla John Sitole and senior South African Police Service (SAPS) management will today address the NatJoints of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) law enforcement deployment parade ahead of the members being posted for operational duties in and around Cape Town for SONA.
The parade comprises of SAPS, traffic and the City of Cape Town Metro Police members. Law enforcement members are expected to take up operational duties ahead of the President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa delivers the State of the Nation Address. Their duties will extend to before and beyond the main address, in an effort to ensure all are and feel safe during the proceedings.
Members of the media are invited to attend the parade.
The parade will take place at 12:00 at the Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town.
