Robbers flee with bakkie in Redcilffe

The public is requested to be on the lookout for the white Ford Ranger bakkie with registration ND 146 832 (pictured).

At approximately 02:54 this morning (Wednesday) the Reaction Unit South Africa Verulam Operations Centre received a call from a member of public reporting a robbery at a neighbouring property. Reaction Officers were dispatched and upon arrival entered the business premises. Officers found two men tied up and injured after they were assaulted. They explained that they were employed by the plumbing company and live on the premises.

While asleep at least six suspects entered the property and began assaulting them before demanding the keys to a Ford Ranger bakkie that was parked on the property. After handing over the keys the suspects drove off in the vehicle. Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the vehicle and the suspects without success.
