A glittering showcase of popping pizazz and world-class South African success

AFRICA REIGNS SUCCESS. They have brought tears of overwhelming joy to over a million pairs of eyes. They have provoked knee-bouncing, toe-tapping, foot-stomping and enthused standing ovations internationally. America voted them through the finals of America’s Got Talent – making them the first African group to reach the finals.

They have been nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards too. Music mogul, Simon Cowell (The X-Factor, American Idol, Britain’s Got Talent), has signed them up for a record deal while fellow judge, Howie Mandel has called them “a window to the world”.

And now, Cape Media Corporation is proud to announce that the South African choir who has wowed audiences worldwide, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, will be the headline act the 18th Black Business Quarterly Awards gala evening on 13 March 2020. The choir will perform their impressive assortment of South African music and original compositions throughout the evening.

The choir has found their voice through the power of music, articulating that anything is possible – their songs tugging you to come back to the truth of who you really are. Since its humble beginnings in 2009, as an after-school activity, the Ndlovu Youth Choir has evolved into a truly outstanding professional ensemble, delivering soul-stirring renditions, combined with magical dance routines, profoundly affecting the aspirations of many people around the world. The 30 choristers prove the potential of any human being to achieve excellence no matter their circumstance or edification.

These proud young ambassadors that make you burst with pride come from one of the most impoverished communities in Limpopo, South Africa, where most homes do not have running water. According to Simon Cowell, the choristers “showcase the beauty that they represent”, while one choir member says, “Just because you are born into poverty, doesn’t mean you are poverty”. The Ndlovu Youth Choir believes that if you can dream it, you can do it; reminding South Africa of the power of standing together.
