Baby boy saved from pit latrine
KWAZULU-NATAL – Early this morning Pietermaritzburg SAPS Search And Rescue and K9 search and rescue were called to a scene in an informal settlement, situated near an old tannery in Plessislaer, when a baby was heard crying from a pit latrine.
The baby was removed and taken by members to an awaiting ER24 medical rescue vehicle for further treatment. The baby boy was taken to Edendale hospital for further observation.
SAPS investigations continue.
