Mount Road SAPS ensuring the safety for festive season shoppers
Police in Mount Road is ready to ensure the safety of all shoppers at malls during this festive season.
An information desk is set up at Greenacres shopping centre to assist the community with matters concerning crime. Festive season pamphlets will be handed out to shoppers as a proactive measure to curbing crime at the malls.
Crime prevention tips and a message from the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga continuously plays on a TV screen erected by the SAPS to alert shoppers to be wary of criminal elements trolling the malls. The information desk will be at the mall until the end of the Festive Season.
The newly appointed police constables will provide maximum police presence at busy shopping centres and hotspot areas during this festive season.
