Old Mutual Making Partnerships Work!

Old Mutual once again proved that it is a partner like no other with the launch of the inaugural Old Mutual Partnership Awards recently.
An initiative out of our Corporate Affairs division in Stakeholder Relations, the objective of the awards is to recognise the partnerships forged between Old Mutual and its key stakeholders as well as to acknowledge the impactful work jointly undertaken that has a positive impact on the economy and society.
According to Mandisa Mathobela, Head of Stakeholder Relations at Old Mutual, the importance of partnerships cannot be overstated in the least. “Across our business, we work daily with a range of stakeholders to create shared value and drive projects and programmes that have a real impact in communities everywhere. We want to say a huge thanks to all of our partners who continue to show passion and dedication in coming together to make a difference. Old Mutual is proud to continue working with each one of these partners towards helping customers, communities and all of our stakeholders achieve their lifetime goals!”
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) was named overall Old Mutual South Africa Partner of the Year. This award recognises the stakeholder from amongst the other category winners who demonstrates replicable ingenuity and a commitment to working together to achieving meaningful impact. Together with Old Mutual’ support, the SANDF is doing amazing work in supporting military families of deployed soldiers who form part of the world’s largest peace support and peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“Having been in business for almost 175 years, one of the simple truths we have come to accept is that as vast as our business may be, we do not have all the answers to the challenges our communities face. In fact, we have learnt that part of working towards impactful solutions requires open minded and collaborative approaches. We have learnt that the power of diversity is in inclusion and the significance of difference is in unity, “concludes Mandisa.
