The Department of Transport and Community Safety Limpopo meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa

President Ramaphosa declared a national state of disaster in terms of the Disaster Management Act on 15 March 2020 to respond to the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequently held consultative meetings with leaders of political parties in Parliament, interfaith and traditional leaders and industry and business representatives to consolidate a national effort against the virus.

The meeting with His Grace Bishop Dr Engenas Lekganyane is a mark of continuing cooperation between government and religious community as champions of social justice and movements who are able to positively influence South Africans’ to fight the spread of the Coronavirus and adhere to the national disaster management regulations.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is accompanied by Premier Chubu Stanley Mathabatha of the Limpopo Province and Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu , Minister of Health Dr Zweli Mkhize , Minister of Home Affairs Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Small Business Development Khumbudzo Ntshaveni, and MEC of Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo, Mme Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya.
