Stolen vehicle recovered in Nandi Drive
Two suspects were arrested by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) while driving a Kia K2700 bakkie that was reported stolen in Chatsworth, South of Durban.
Reaction Officers were alerted to a Tracker activation where the vehicle was emitting signals between Inanda and Umhlanga. Officers honed in on the signal which intensified on the R102 towards Umhlanga.
RUSA Members spotted the bakkie as it on ramped onto the N2 and proceeded towards Nandi Drive. Additional backup was called in and the bakkie was stopped along the highway. Both men provided different versions as to how they came in possession of the vehicle.
They were placed under arrest by Police and transported to the Chatsworth SAPS for further investigation.
